The cicada, singer of summer and emblem of Provence, becomes a true embroidered jewel.

Made entirely by hand, one stitch at a time, with both a needle and Lunéville hook, each cicada combines threads, beads and purl to create light and texture. Displayed in a 16 cm hoop, it is ready to hang as a small piece of textile art.

Every cicada is one of a kind, celebrating Provence, fine craftsmanship and art embroidery.

Four cicadas are available:

• The gold cicada, nicknamed “La Bigleuse” — recognisable by its intentionally asymmetric golden sparkle.
• The nude cicada, nicknamed “La Star” — a luminous design that sparkles brilliantly.
• The green and silver cicada — light- and dark-green purl stripes decorate its head.
• The red cicada — a warm, vibrant version with delicate beaded wings.
