Faïença is an embroidery studio founded in Barcelona by an embroiderer passionate about Provençal faience. We prepare every kit by hand: printed canvas, threads, beads, hoop and step-by-step booklet.
Orders ship to France and the rest of Europe. PDF patterns round out the range for those who already have their own materials. And for a truly one-of-a-kind piece, our custom creations are embroidered to order in the studio.

Everything about our kits, patterns and custom pieces
What's included in a Faïença kit?
Printed canvas, Au Ver à Soie thread, beads and sequins if the pattern calls for them, needle, hoop (depending on the variant), illustrated booklet and instructions. Nothing to look for before you start.
Are the kits suitable for beginners?
Yes for several beginner patterns. Others, like the Cigale, are intermediate level: the booklet details every stitch, but some prior embroidery experience helps.
How long does it take to embroider a pattern?
Allow about 4 to 8 hours for a kit like the Cigale, 6 to 10 hours for a fuller pattern like the Mimosa. Each product page gives a realistic range.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship throughout Europe and internationally. Delivery times and costs are shown at checkout based on your destination.
Can I give a kit as a gift?
Of course. Our kits make lovely gifts: you can add a message and choose careful gift wrapping at checkout.
Are returns possible?
Unopened items can be returned within 14 days. Write to us and we'll guide you through the exchange or refund.
How does a custom creation work?
We offer two types of custom embroidery: a birth hoop with baby's name (floral or fruity pattern, colours of your choice), or a wedding ring holder embroidered for your wedding day (text, initials or the colours of your day). You can also add an inspiration image. Each piece is hand-embroidered in our Barcelona studio.
What's the turnaround time for a custom piece?
Allow 2 to 3 weeks to make before shipping. The exact time depends on the studio's workload and is confirmed when you order.
